New life to old

For security reasons climbing ropes have to be replaced after 1-4 years, depending on the usage and how damaged they are.
But what happens to them afterward? According to climbers and rescue companies, ropes simply end up in garbage bins.

I created a way to reuse these ropes and upcycle them. My idea was to create an object which I could give back to the rope owner. With this, the person would keep a stronger connection to his adventures and climbs. I decided to create belts because it’s the best way of keeping their properties of strength and length.
